M.I'S MI2 leaks online

So we've been following MI2 closely. From the release of Undisputed Champion to the album launch and now the album leak.

We went around the webs and found files from the MI2 album. Of course, we're not telling you where they are!

All we know is that the album has leaked[I personally have some files], and is already getting downloads. The files were uploaded on saturday the 27th and the album launched on the 25th. Tisk, Tisk, Tisk.I'll still buy the album!

I remember a discussion I had with a friend a few weeks ago and I specifically said Nigerian artistes should forget Alaba and focus on the internet. With the increasing ability to upload files and share them with friends and non-friends, Nigerian artistes will have to come together and work with a payment platform company[like interswitch] so people can buy songs and full albums.

We know notjustok allows you buy songs. But how many people have dollar accounts?

For now, you can download Undisputed, at least you know this was put online by the guys at Chocolate City.

You wouldn't steal a car, you wouldn't steal money, you shouldn't steal intellectual property!

Videos from the MI2 Album Launch

So MI's MI2:The Movie was the Movie shown at the Listening party for the Album. I must say this album really got a lot of controversy in school. 'It's a movie like Kanye's Runaway', 'No It's a movie for the album'. Well.. It was a movie/listening party for the 'MI2' album.

Lets do Lagos Traffic Reports on twitter!!!

We know traffic sucks, except from the part that you can buy a lot of stuff in traffic, traffic is generally a waste of time and energy.

Therefore [like in a math textbook], we've come up with a great plan to ease traffic and increase your productivity.

No it's not a flying car. We've decided to create a twitter[twitter label here] account @LagTraffReport that automatically posts all twitter updates with the hashtag #lagostrafficreport. So how does this work? Very simple. When you see traffic building up or traffic ahead of you on the road you tweet your current location and the report with the hashtag #lagostrafficreport.

For example: '#lagostrafficreport Traffic on thirdmainland bridge towards the island' or '#lagostrafficreport Traffic on Ikorodu Road towards Maryland'.

Everyfriday we'll add all the people who consistently tweet the hashtag to our follow friday list.

We strongly advise you do not tweet while you're driving. We count on you[the reader] to do this.

*Your comments and retweets are highly appreciated*

Facebook Unveils New Messaging System[VIDEO]

Facebook announced a whole new change in messaging yesterday. The facebook blog says it's the next evolution of messages. The new service allows you to mail your friends via SMS, chat, e-mail or messages. Your friends will be able to receive your messages through whichever medium they use.

Facebook will also provide a email address to everyone with a facebook account and non-facebook users. The new messages also has a conversation history where users can see all messages exchanged between them whether the messages were sent via SMS, chat or any medium.

They've also created an 'other' folder where messages from non-friends go. These messages can be moved into inbox and future messages from that sender will show up in inbox.
Facebook will roll out the new messages to all users gradually.

Aphrodite and Apollo[4]

This post is a continuation of the Aphrodite and Apollo story. If this is your first time reading this you should check our relationships page.

"So you are the only child?" I ask
"Yeah," He replies
"That is so rare in like Nigeria. You see them begetting children like they aren't going to pay school fees. Kinda like bacteria when you think about it."
"Yeah you know bacteria. They multiply really quickly. Like that guy with 72 children. When I saw it i was like what the hell was that guy thinking." Do not think that I haven't noticed that he was giving me one-word answers
"Don't do that,"
"Do what?" He looked so cute. But, no I must be firm
"Stop giving me one-word answers-If you want me to go just say so."
"What? I do not want you to go" He lied. I could see it in his eyes- the relief. Something I said must have triggered off the mood he was in.
"Do not insult my intelligence by attempting to lie to me. Don't worry I really don't mind" Of course I mind but I can't let him know that can I? Marc smiled at me.I love that smile. I just couldn't help melting. I know you are probably wondering how much more could a girl melt. Lemme just say a gurl will always melt if a sex-god smiles at her.
I smiled back, dropping the box on the floor and turn away.
"Lara," he called when I was halfway out of his house "My mom and I are visiting this evening. You know the neighbour drill"

I nodded and continued walking to my own house all the while wondering why he was so bothered about about one simple question. I was so deep in thought that I got home before I knew it- though its only a 2 minutes walk.

I still did not understand why the heck Romeo would move into my own estate-Magodo. I mean seriously the people that live in my estate are losers. Plus, we have absolutely nothing- No bookshop, cinema and we are seriously lacking. in the boys department. Lemme rephrase that: the boys are totally lacking in the hotness department. Its so bad that my eyes hurt whenever I see a Magodo boy.

On getting home I saw my mom standing on the balcony and I knew that she would want to know what they are like-she is nosy that way. So I quieten and move stealthily so she will not notice me. I works. Yes!! I thought breathing a sigh of relief when i finally closed the door to my room. My relief was short-lived.

"Lara, don't think I did not see you. I am not blind you know.Come right out here right now." I hear her laughter. She obviously find it funny that I wanted to avoid her and it did not work.
" Yes mummy" I shouted back. I mean if she wants to know how the Somefun's are she should have gone herself. In addition, I wanted to lie on my bed and think of all the things that i would say to Marc when he and his mom visits. Obviously I couldn't anymore, so I take of my pants- I mean underwear. I know you are probably wondering why I take off my pants. So I'll just tell you. I hate underwear. its so constrictive. And this is what I think about normal underwear not thongs. I can never wear thongs. God forbid. I am not about to do physical in jury to myself just to be sexy. No. No Abso-fucking-lutely way. Not even for Marc. Unless if he is wearing one as well. At least I know that both of us are suffering. Not that only me suffers while he is busy enjoying the view of my ass in a thong.

I pulled down my shirt making a mental note to wear my pants back around 7 o'clock as Marc and his mother should come around seven thirty. In case anything happens. I don't think I can survive it if anything should pull my shirt up.

Later that day...
Its funny when I think about it now though its was definitely not funny then. I still can not believe I forgot to wear my pants back.....

Dead Whale washes up on Lagos' shore[VIDEO]

On the 4th of November 2010,STV news got reports that a Whale had washed on the shores of the beach between Elegushi and Oniru beaches. This happened a few years ago and the whale died also. This is the report Vivienne Irikefe, the reporter got:

One of the men interviewed in this video says 'Its not an ordinary whale, It's a sea-pork, we have a sea-elephant. Everything you have on land is in the water'. Really funny right? Another man thinks it's a sign for the forthcoming elections. Seriously a dead whale is a sign?

On the 6th of November, she went back to the scene and found out that people were selling the different parts of the whale and some were using the whale parts as floats. A medical doctor says consumption of of any dead proteinous organism can lead to death.

I seriously wonder what the guys at PETA would do about this concerning whale extinction and all.
What do you think about this? Please post your comments in the section below.

Google celebrates 150th anniversary of X-rays with a doodle

Today google changed their logo on search today. The logo is an x-ray of 'Google' with bones, a key and a rubber duck.

The doodle is also animated and glows as users' mouse hovers certain letters. The second 'g' in the logo shows an underlay of pidgeon feathers and reminds us of the google prank announcement in 2002 when google said its page ranking system was determined by pigeon pecks.

A google executive, Marissa Mayer tweeted this morning "115th anniversary of the X-Ray on Google (with a shoutout to April Fools 2002 - PigeonRank - in the little 'g'):"

German physicist Wilhelm Röntgen is usually credited as the discoverer of X-rays because he was the first to systematically study them, though he is not the first to have observed their effects. He is also the one who gave them the name "X-rays", though many referred to these as "Röntgen rays" for several decades after their discovery and to this day in some languages, including Röntgen's native German, and Swedish. Röntgen called them 'X' rays because he didn't know what type of radiation they were.

X-rays are generated by an X-ray tube, a vacuum tube that uses a high voltage to accelerate the electrons released by a hot cathode to a high velocity. The high velocity electrons collide with a metal target, the anode, creating the X-rays.

Google Launches 'Baraza' for Africa: A question and answer site

We'll have to agree with the Google Africa Blog on this one. One of the main problems of the Internet in Africa is lack of local content. Google has created 'Baraza' for people across africa to ask and answer questions online. 'Baraza' is swahili for 'Taskforce' or 'Council'.

Google opened this service up in Beta few weeks ago and this service hopes to answer questions normally typed in the search bar. Questions like “How can I write a movie script for Nollywood?” or “How does the stock exchange operate in Ghana?” or “What is the recipe for bitter leaf soup?” or “What is the best company for car insurance in Nairobi?”

Facebook announces Friendship Pages to show Friends' relationships.

Facebook lastweek announced a new Friendship Pages feature that shows users all content and connections shared by two people who are friends on facebook. The friendship page will include photos, wall posts, mutual friends, events they're both attending or attended and mutual likes.
This feature was developed during a recent Facebook Hackhaton and these friendship pages will make it easier to see how 2 people interact on facebook.

You can however only view friendship pages if you are friends with one of the people and if you've got permission to view the other persons profile.

To visit a Friendship Page, you click the 'Browse Friendships' box which prompts you to enter your name and a friends name into 2 different input boxes.

Clicking 'See Friendship' will take you to the Friendship Page. When you land on the friendship page, you'll see the 2 peoples' names you entered int the previous box and their networks, photos they're both tagged in, mutual likes and a list of their mutual friends.

In the centre of the Friendship Page is 'Wall-to-Wall', Events they both attended and posts in which they both commented on.This feature is still being tested and is only available to a few users at the moment.

This new feature will surely make it easier to go through facebook profiles. Before now, you'll have to go through photos, wall-to-wall and check multiple profiles to find out how 2 friends are connected.Yes Lakunle, it is now easier for you to stalk all those babes' facebook profiles. Assuming you've got permission of course.

What do you think about this new feature, Is it gonna affect facebook privacy in anyway? Is it going to change how you interact with your friends on facebook?
