Google Celebrates Africa Day with a Doodle

May 25th is known as Africa Day. Africa Day is the annual commemoration of the founding of the African Union on May 25, 1963. It was initially called Organisation of African Unity and it was formed by 30 of 32 independent states at the time in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
This year's theme of Africa Day is 'Africa and the Diaspora' and will be celebrated in New York on the 31st of May. The African Union now consists of 53 African States except Morocco.

The Google Doodle is green with the 'g' replaced with the African map.
